Cheer Athletics is proud to celebrate a major milestone in the evolution of our sport: the launch of the Varsity Pro Cheer League—and the exciting appointment of Angela Rogers as Team Manager for the Dallas team. Angela, a longtime co-owner and pillar of the Cheer Athletics leadership team, brings decades of elite coaching experience to the new league.

Angela’s impact on competitive cheerleading can’t be overstated. From her days cheering at Southern Methodist University to becoming one of the most respected female coaches in the sport, she has consistently pushed boundaries and broken barriers. Her list of accolades is extensive:
- NCA High School and Collegiate All-American
- Southern Methodist University cheerleader
- Choreographer for NCA Special Events across the U.S. and Ireland
- Performer and staff member in the 1996 Olympic Opening Ceremonies
- First female coach to win multiple World Championships
- Co-owner of Cheer Athletics with 130+ teams worldwide
- Leader of numerous national and world title-winning teams
- Advocate for leadership, resilience, and athlete empowerment
From Worlds Podiums to the Pro League
Angela’s track record speaks for itself—but what sets her apart is her vision for the future. With more than two decades spent shaping All Star athletes and champion teams, she now brings that same high standard of leadership and innovation to the Varsity Pro Cheer League.
“It’s exciting for the sport of cheerleading to rise to the professional level,” Angela said. “We are so honored to be a part of the Pro Cheer League. The opportunity and path this can provide to cheer athletes who put in the work and excel in this spectacular sport is refreshing and so promising. Let’s do this!”
As the Dallas Team Manager, Angela joins fellow Cheer Athletics leaders Brad Habermel and Jody Melton—creating a dream team of Texas legends with a shared vision to push cheerleading to new heights.
