2026-2027 Tryouts
Overview
TEAM PLACEMENTS
When forming teams, we consider factors such as athlete skills, experience, and maturity. Team placement is primarily determined by birth year and skill level. Rosters are subject to change at any point and for any reason under the coaches discretion. Team announcements will be sent via email by May 31st, 2026
COMPETITION SCHEDULE
The competition schedule varies by team. Most teams will attend competitions hosted both locally and nationally, with the opportunity to be invited to and to attend End-Of-Season Events (i.e., The Regional Summit, The Cheerleading Worlds, The Summit) at an additional cost. Competition schedules will be released in June 2026.
TRAVEL EXPENSES
Travel expenses are not included in monthly tuition. Athletes are responsible for booking their own travel arrangements. End-of-season events are considered additional costs and are not covered by tuition. Please note that fees may be charged by both the gym and the competition/event provider for these events.
Time Commitment
Participation in our All Star Cheer program requires a 12-month commitment. During June and July, teams will hold 2 weekday practices and 2 required camps. Beginning in August, Sunday practices will be added and will continue through May 2027. Additional or extended practices may be scheduled at key points throughout the season.
Athletes are expected to prioritize their involvement in the program and commit to attending all scheduled practices.
All Star Cheer is a competitive team sport that requires commitment, consistency, and a strong work ethic. Our program emphasizes safe, progressive training in stunting, tumbling, jumps, conditioning, and performance, while fostering leadership, accountability, and sportsmanship. Athletes selected for a team are expected to maintain regular attendance, demonstrate a positive attitude, and fully commit to the season. Our goal is to build not only strong athletes, but confident individuals both on and off the mat.
Tryouts
Tryouts are designed to be a positive experience for athletes to showcase skills.
Tryout sessions are not divided by age or level. All necessary tryout fees must be paid in order to participate. Private Tryouts are available upon request. Email stl@cheerathletics.com to schedule.
Financial Commitment
Participation in All Star Cheer involves a meaningful financial commitment. We encourage families to carefully consider the investment required for the full season. Tuition is divided into 12 equal monthly installments and is due on the first of each month. Billing begins in June 2026 and continues through May 2027. Monthly tuition remains consistent throughout the season and is processed through our online customer portal. A valid credit or debit card must be kept on file.
Tuition includes team training, regular-season competition fees, and other non-refundable program expenses. A non-refundable music and choreography fee will be charged to accounts in July 2026. Our payment processing platform will apply standard credit card processing fees. These fees can be waived for families who choose to pay the season in full at the start of the year.

Stunt Info
About STUNT the Sport
STUNT the Sport
STUNT is one of the fastest growing female sports in the country. As a new form of competitive cheerleading, STUNT is performed in a head-to-head 4-quarter format. Each quarter focuses on different elements of competitive cheerleading.
- Quarter 1: Partner Stunts
- Quarter 2: Pyramids & Tosses
- Quarter 3: Jumps & Tumbling
- Quarter 4: Team Routine
STUNT
Within each Quarter, there are 2-4 rounds of play, dependent upon age category. Each “round” of play will focus on a pre-set routine that ranges in skill level.
For 8U teams, there are 3 potential levels of play while 11U, 14U, 16U, and 18U have a potential of 6 levels of play. Each “play” will last 30 seconds, or ten 8-counts, long. A game of STUNT typically lasts about 45-60 minutes.
Scoring Officials will determine the number and degree of errors made by each team during play. The team with the fewest deductions is declared the winner of each round, receiving points toward their final score.
